Docconnect is a platform that connects medical professionals with hospitals. It tackles a recurring problem of medical staff shortage in the time of extreme needs. It happens often that surgery is needed to be done, but the hospital doesn't have that much staff available. On the other hand, there are many medical professionals who aren't that busy at that time and some don't even have a stable job. So we created a platform to connect hospitals in need with the medical professionals who are looking for work.

This platform had two main types of user that it needed to take care of, Hospitals and the Doctors. We decided on creating a web app for the hospitals and a mobile application for the medical staff.

Whenever a hospital is in need of medical staff, be it a chief surgeon, asst. surgeon, or anesthetist, they could just post an engagement on the web app and the doctors nearby can see it on their mobile app and accept the role that is needed. Hospitals could even request some specific doctors for an engagement, or just leave it like that, whoever is available and wanting to work at that time can accept the engagement.

This project is created to help hospitals, doctors and people to tackle this recurring problem and while doing so improving the situation of healthcare in India.
